Cliffs between Vieste and Mattinata
The most beautiful part of Gargano is situated between Vieste and Mattinata. In the breathtaking cliffs of snow-white chalk rocks there are many beautiful beaches with fine golden sand, lonely bays, spectacular rock formations and caves with cavities large as the church nave of Cologne Cathedral.
The Baia delle Zagare hotel is located fantastically beautiful in between the bizarre cliffs.
The giant snowwhite rock is the landmark of Vieste.
Architiello San Felice
Natural archway of white chalk cliffs in the azure blue sea. Brave can walk across the back of the arch Architiello on a narrow path down to the sea.
Monte Sant Angelo
1000 years old and 1000 m high located pilgrimage village with snow-white terraced houses.
In Mattinata there are the best Italian olive groves.
Excellent wind conditions for surfers.
