Dubrovnik, the Pearl of the Eastern Adria
The absolute Highlicht of Dubrovnik is the 1½ hour roundtrip on top of the city wall. The promenade walk starts left of Onofrio-fountain near the Pile-gate. The city wall consists of bastions and defence towers is until 25 m high and 6 m wide.
Teh Stradun, Croatia's most famous Boulevard is both, busy shopping mall and in the evening popular meeting point (korzo). The Franziskaner monastery (Franjevacki Samostan) with his beautiful cloister courtyard dates back to 14. century. The museum owns a wooden portrait of the holy Blasius. Near the cloister courtyard we find the oldest permanent in operation being pharmacy of Europe build in the year 1317.
The Old Town of Dubrovnik is UNESCO World Heritage Site.
