Monastery Andechs, Ilka-Hill, Kustermannpark in Tutzing
From the moraine hill, a remnant of the ice age, we have a fantastic view of the monastery Andechs, the famous Bavarian pilgrimage site with its beautiful beer garden. At the end of April, at the beginning of May deep-blue gentians, which are otherwise only grown on alpine meadows in the high mountains, bloom on the moraine hill.
A magical moment of happiness is when a thin layer of fog lies over the fields and only the spire of the Andechs Monastery protrudes.
The Ilka-Hill is a promising ridge above Lake Starnberg with a grand view of the Zugspitze, the heighest mountain of Germany. The panorama trail in the Kustermannpark near Tutzing with a stop-off in the restaurant Restaurant steamer on Lake Starnberg is the ideal Sunday walk. |
